The wire leading to the connector was discolored from the heat. Overall, the performance is awesome. So I have paid on a car for 5 years and it is worth nothing. When I open the trunk of the car with my key will also cause this to happen. My oil changes were done and I used high mileage oil as I realize the car was approaching 150,000. All my dashboard lights come on from anti theft lock, service traction tc , low fuel when there is fuel in there , brake fluid, power steering, check engine, gauges start flopping back and forth. This is the first and only car I have ever had, and it has served me well. All four Cobalt engines have a maintenance-free timing chain; there is no timing belt to worry about. The contact entered the vehicle and was not able to start the vehicle on several attempts. I feel that I may not be the only one experiencing this issue.
This is weird and I don't understand. The recall began on April 18, 2014. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over, shut it off, and restart it on the first attempt. Van hit me at my driver side with 50 miles per hour and I wanna say that all the airbags of that car open and I am really glad that I am all safe after this kind of accident. When I turn on the car in about 30 seconds the power steering light pops up and the wheel is really hard to turn. I don't have proof that after the ignition switch was repaired then my airbag didn't deploy to protect me as did the dummy in there dummy crash test. Chevrolet Cobalt can drive estimated 316 miles or 508 kilometers on one 13-gallon 50 liter tank with 45% highway, 55% city driving. To repair this problem, the shifter assembly will need to be replaced according to the Technical Service Bulletin. Test all the power windows and locks. I feel very unsafe in this can.
I am single and work two jobs to make ends meet, I have a student loan to pay and I'm thinking now that I am going to have to have another car payment. I am horrified that I put my life and perhaps the life of others in jeopardy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures.
