I found the vehicle had scratches and scuffs inside and out. Replaced power steering pump 80,000 miles. Meant that entry required unlocking the passenger side door only one with a key in Right Hand Drive Models , leaning across and unlocking the driver's door, and then going around to enter. It will cost a lot of money to maintain this car in the long run. The ride is biased slightly towards handling rather than comfort, but it still strikes a fine balance between the two.

Yes Review Date: 2nd July, 2011 Faults: Hood emblems faded. Turbo had quite a bit of end-play, but spun fine. It can perform family duties without difficulty and has an enviable safety record, with only the question of running costs being an issue. The trick is to find a reasonably priced turbo, check ebay. Had to replace the engine for near £5000.

Key to its enhanced abilities is a rigid body structure - almost three times stiffer than that of its predecessor - and an all-new suspension layout. A five-speed manual is standard with the 175-hp 2. Classic symptoms, blue smoke at start up and from time to time when driving. The only criticism is that the front wheels sometimes struggle to apply all 210bhp to the road, but this is a rare problem and for the most part the Saab is a fine sporting saloon. With the colour screen fitted it provides a visual as well as audible guide to the distance from any objects.

Toyota's and Honda's would offer no better reliability than this, and would have cost a lot more to purchase. Dashboard cupholder - broken again, right after it was fixed. Needed to use a mini-acetylene torch to eat up. Work done out of warranty: Front and rear brake pads and rotors done at 45,000. Feb 01, 2011 i am the owner of a 2004 saab 9-3 that had the same problem. I waited 15 minutes and called my ride and left. Front coil springs done under extended warranty, 105,000 miles. It is a sporty, yet surprisingly practical car. Rear seat passengers fair less well. Now I can't wait to get rid of it. If only the seats were more comfortable for the long journeys and the cabin plastics were of a higher grade, then I would keep this car until it finally dies.
